The themes of royal propaganda are distributed along the walls. This is a detail from the scene on the western or rear wall which shows the procession of foreign delegates at Samarkand, presided over by King Varkhuman. The Chinese here are bringing silk (in the triple form of cocoons, hanks and rolls of cloth). To their right are Turks, recognizable by their long plaits.
